Durga Pujo Traditions
Since Durga Puja is a nine-day-long festival, each day, devotees worship a different form of Maa Durga.
People perform pujas and aartis during the Durga Puja ceremony. They also offer flowers, prasad, and gold coins to Goddess Durga.

The tenth day is celebrated as Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra. Devotees perform Durga Visarjan, which is a practice of immersing Durga idols in water bodies to bid her farewell in hopes for her return next year.
In Kolkata, bengali women wear red and white sarees and participate in the Sindoor khela ceremony. The ceremony involves women applying sindoor or vermillion to Maa Durga and to each other.
